ABOUT THE COLLEGE

The School of Business Management, Education, Arts, and Sciences (SBMEAS) is an academic cluster of the college that comprises the following bachelor’s degrees: Bachelor of Arts in English Language (AB-EL), Bachelor of Science in Biology (BS Biology), Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with Majors in Financial Management, Human Resource Management, and Marketing Management, and Bachelor of Secondary Education with Majors in English (BSEd-Eng), Science (BSEd-Sci), and Filipino (BSEd-Fil).
The School of BMEAS also houses several disciplines, offering a variety of settings and educational opportunities. These include the Divisions of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Theology and Philosophy. The School of BMEAS works with other academic clusters, including the School of Nursing, Medical Laboratory Sciences, and Allied Health Sciences, to deliver exceptional academic services and support SPC students’ overall transformation.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Perform the basic functions of management, such as planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling.
  2. Apply the basic concepts that underlie each of the functional areas of business (marketing, finance, human resources management, production and operations management, information technology, and strategic management) and employ these concepts in various business situations.
  3. Select the proper decision-making tools to critically, analytically, and creatively solve problems and drive results.
  4. Express oneself clearly and communicate effectively with stakeholders both in oral and written forms.
  5. Apply Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills as required by the business environment.
  6. Work effectively with other stakeholders and manage conflict in the workplace.
  7. Plan and implement business-related activities.
  8. Demonstrate corporate citizenship and social responsibility.
  9. Exercise high personal moral and ethical standards

BSEd Major in English

  1. Possess broad knowledge of language and literature for effective learning.
  2. Use English as a global language in a multilingual context as it applies to the teaching of language and literature.
  3. Acquire extensive reading background in language, literature and allied fields.
  4. Demonstrate oral and written communication.
  5. Show competence in employing innovative language and teaching approaches, methodologies and strategies.
  6. Use technology in facilitating language learning and teaching.
  7. Inspire students and colleagues to lead relevant and transformative changes to improve learning and teaching language and literature.
  8. Display skills and abilities and research-oriented language and literature teacher.

BSEd Major in Filipino

Ang mga gradweyt ng programa ay:

  1. nagpapamalas ng mataas na antas ng kaalaman sa pagtuturo ng wika at panitikang Filipino;
  2. nagpapakita ng malawak at malalim na pag-unawa at kaalaman sa ugnayan ng wika, kultura, at lipunan;
  3. nakagagamit ng iba’t ibang kasanayan at kaalaman sa proseso ng pagtuturo-pagkatuto;
  4.  nagtataglay ng kaalaman hinggil sa usapin ng cultural at linggwistikong dibersidad ng bansa; e. nakapagdidisenyo ng malikhain, inobatibo, at integratibong mga alternatibong dulog sa pagtuturo at pagkatuto; at
  5. nakagagawa ng pananaliksik ukol sa ikauunlad ng wikang Filipino bilang wikang panturo


BSEd Major in Science

  1. Demonstrate deep understanding of scientific concepts and principles.
  2. Apply scientific inquiry in teaching and learning.
  3. Utilize effective science teaching and assessment methods.
  4. Manifest meaningful and comprehensive pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) of the sciences.
  1. Articulate the latest developments in theird specific field of practice.
  2. Effectively communicate orally and in writing using both the English/Filipino language.
  3. Work effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
  4. Demonstrate professional, social, and ethical responsibility, especially in practicing intellectual property rights.
  5. Preserve and promote Filipino historical and cultural heritage based on RA7722.
  6. Demonstrate broad and coherent knowledge and understanding in the core areas of statistical theory and statistical modeling.
  7. Apply analytical, critical and problem solving skills using the Scientific Method.
  8. Interpret scientific data and reflect on relevant scientific and ethical issues.
  9. Carry out basic mathematical and statistical computations and use appropriate technologies in (a) the analysis data; and (b) in pattern recognition, generalization, abstraction, critical analysis and problem solving.
  10. Communicate information, ideas problems and solutions both, orally and in writing to other scientists, decision makers and the public.
  11. Relate science and mathematics to the other disciplines.
  12. Design and perform safe and responsible techniques and procedures in laboratory or field practices.
  13. Critically evaluate input from others.
  14. Appreciate the limitations and implications of science in everyday life.
  15. Commit to the integrity of data.
  16. Develop an in-depth understanding of the basic principles governing the science of life.
  17. Develop and utilize techniques/procedures relevant to biological research work in laboratory or field settings.
  18. Carry out basic mathematical and statistical computations and use of appropriate technologies in the analysis of biological data.
  19. Extend knowledge and critically assess current views and theories in various areas of biological sciences.
