COLLABORATIVE ONLINE INTERNATIONAL LEARNING (COIL)

Collaborative Online International Learning

Inspired by the visions, missions, and goals of our country’s leaders in educational reforms, both from the Department of Education and the Commission on Higher Education, the San Pedro College takes the challenge to invigorate global education in its classrooms despite the pandemic that our country is confronting nowadays. Taking advantage of the new normal in the educational approach such as online learning, the SPC finds it as an advantage to take the opportunity to explore the Collaborative Online International Learning or COIL. Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) connects students and professors in different countries for collaborative projects and discussions as part of their coursework. COIL Collaborations between students and professors provide meaningful, significant opportunities for global experiences built into study programs. COIL enhances intercultural student interaction through proven approaches to meaningful online engagement while providing universities a cost-effective way to ensure that their students are globally engaged.
