Research Coordination Center

The Research Coordination Center is an office under the Research, Publication, and Innovation Center of San Pedro College. Its primary purpose is to support and streamline the activities of the organization, ensuring that research projects are conducted efficiently, ethically, and in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines. It is dedicated to warrant effective coordination of research efforts and provide researchers with the necessary support to carry out their work successfully. The institution created the Research Coordination Center with the following oversight committees: Research Ethics Committee (REC), Institutional BioRisk Committee (IBC), and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).

The certificate of approval is valid for 1-YEAR STARTING DATE ISSUED. Application for an extension of the validity of the approval must be done within the 6-10th MONTH PRIOR TO EXPIRATION DATE. Application beyond 2 MONTHS PRIOR to expiration date WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED. Guidelines for Amendment submission:

  1. Submit the filled amendment application form to SPC-REC before implementing the changes made in the approved proposal
  2. Send the filled form together with your revised manuscript indicating the proposed change/s
  3. Email your Amendment Application Form (Word file) and revised manuscript to your existing email thread
  4. Please wait for our feedback regarding your amendment application within 7 working days.

Here are the following requirements in sending your progress report:

  1. recent manuscript

  3. a sample of your signed and dated informed consent form

Here are the guidelines for the sample ICF/AF submissions:

  1. FOR HARD COPY ICF/AF:

Send a picture/scanned copy of the entire document. Make sure that the signature and date are printed.

  1. FOR ELECTRONIC ICF/AF:

Send the signed and dated e-ICF/AF and the screenshot/photo of the email you received from your participant indicating that you have received the accomplished e-ICF/AF. Include the date received in your screenshot. IF the e-ICF/AF is submitted through messaging apps, screenshot the portion of the conversation about the accomplished ICF submission and include the date when it was sent.

  1. For ICF in Google form, send us a copy/screenshot of the participant’s response. Please include the date accomplished by the participant.
