Created on the 10th of July 2016, The Petroglyphs was born out of a desire to spread information, to convey witness, and to preserve the truth, justice, and transparency. Following in the steps of the college school publication, The Rock, The Petroglyphs was rightly named and derived from the Greek word pétra, meaning “of rocks,” and glyph, meaning “character.” The members are dubbed as “glyphs,” derived from the meaning of character, showcases that the members are the “characters” leading the amplification of the voices of Senior High School students in the San Pedro College community.
The Petroglyphs is a San Pedro College Senior High School organization aiming to exercise the journalistic expression of bonafide students, pioneering the motto of truth, justice, and transparency not only to SPCians but to all people. That is what the Petroglyphs’ logo represents.
