We are delighted to announce the successful culmination of the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) course entitled “”𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥, 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥: 𝐀 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐛 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧””. A collaboration between San Pedro College, Philippines, and the University of Hawaii at Hilo!

In this short journey, students explore the transformative potential of indigenous plants, creating them into viable cosmetic concepts that reflect heritage and innovation. The COILers learned that sustainability is a shared responsibility and that creativity flourishes when rooted in cultural understanding. Thus, this project became a space for dialogue, cross-cultural learning, and empowerment of San Pedro College and the University of Hawaii.

Indeed, local ideas can truly glow on a global stage when nurtured with purpose through collaboration.
