𝐒𝐏𝐂 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐦 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧 ‘𝟐𝟔

Honoring its 70th platinum milestone in solemnity and festivity, San Pedro College (SPC) gathered to commemorate Pista sa Nayon 2026 on Sept. 30 at the SPC Gymnasium, marking also the ninth day of the Novena to St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus.

Anchored by the theme, “Pitong Dekadang Biyaya na Namumulaklak,” the program paid tribute to one of its patronesses in a Novena Mass led by Rev. Fr. Dominic Cagang, and Rev. Fr. Primo Fagel, Jr.

Rev. Fr. Dominic spoke about the life and legacy of St. Thérèse, emphasizing her values as a lasting mark that SPC should always embody.

“Legacy does not begin with greatness; it begins with openness to God. She [St. Thérèse] allowed God to make ordinary things become extraordinary,” he said.

Following the Novena Mass, newly elected Saligan Supreme Student Council (Saligan-SSC) freshmen representatives took the stage and took their oath, wrapping up the ceremonial segment of the program.

SPC Kultura opened the festivities with their blend of cultural and modern performances, leading towards the Larong Pinoy activities featuring Chinese Garter, Tumba Lata, Moving Basketball, Huwag Mag-Ingay, and others.

Another round of performances took center stage as second-year students presented their Physical Education (PE) field demonstration and the band, Griffins, played numerous famous medleys, while participants gathered at tables to eat a variety of Filipino foods.

Karaoke sessions concluded Pista sa Nayon 2026, with participants taking turns to sing any song of their choice.

After finishing the seventh leg of its week-long celebration, preparations commenced for the following day’s floral and prayer procession to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary.
