𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐨 𝐱 𝐑𝐂𝐁𝐃 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐉𝐉𝐈𝐊, 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧

In a showdown held as part of San Pedro College’s (SPC) 70th Founding Anniversary, Coloseo x RCBD nabbed the Alumni League basketball championship after dominating JJIK, 79–58, on Sept. 28 at the SPC Gymnasium.

Setting the momentum, Coloseo x RCBD surged past JJIK with a decisive 25–15 lead in the first quarter.

JJIK attempted to close the gap in the second quarter, outscoring Coloseo x RCBD, 14–9, before carrying the fierce battle into the third quarter, where the teams ended tied at 39–39.

Breaking the tie, Coloseo x RCBD pulled away from JJIK in the final quarter, outscoring them, 40–19, to secure a 21-point lead and seal the championship with a 79–58 final score.

Beyond the team’s championship, Coloseo x RCBD members Vincent Angelo Fernandez and Christopher Jay Gavia earned the Season MVP and Finals MVP awards, respectively.

“Mostly kami sa among mga team kay dili gyud mi magkaila… Nagka chemistry lang mi tungod sa practices na nahitabo,” Gavia shared, describing how the team built its chemistry on their way to the championship.

Fernandez and Gavia also expressed their gratitude to their teammates and congratulated the institution for conducting the league.

“Thank you, and next time, unta naa gihapon ni,” Gavia, the Finals MVP, added.

Meanwhile, JJIK finished as the runner-up, followed by V8 Autohub in 3rd place and Fried Chiquin x Pamersa Foods Inc. in 4th, with the basketball championship concluding the 70th Alumni League’s sporting events.
