𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 & 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬

We are proud to present the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project entitled “𝑽𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆: 𝑨 𝑱𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝑨𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅, 𝑽𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚”, a global virtual classroom initiative collaboratively implemented by San Pedro College, Davao City, Philippines and Oakland Community College, USA.

This engaging program promotes global perspectives, intercultural dialogue, and collaborative learning in the social sciences and humanities by connecting classrooms across continents. As part of the COIL initiative, students reflect on insights from a series of international talks, where peers share real world issues and current events from their own contexts, and transform these into collaborative outputs.

Bringing together students from San Pedro College’s Psychology 1A, along with 1st year students from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English (BSED English), as well as 3rd year BSN students from Davao Oriental State University.

This COIL project brings together international educators led by Arvie Joy T. Villegas of San Pedro College, Anthony Baracco of Oakland Community College, and Shelly April S. Decenilla of Davao Oriental State University. The kickoff of this meaningful academic collaboration is set on April 22, 2026.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this initiative advances 𝐒𝐃𝐆 4 – Quality Education and 𝐒𝐃𝐆 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, fostering global perspectives, intercultural understanding, and collaborative learning beyond borders. 🌍✨
