To look back at past activities and reinforce departmental bonds ahead of the intramurals, the Association of Psychology and Human Services Students (AssoPsycHSS) held their second general assembly entitled “Checkpoint” at the San Pedro College (SPC) gymnasium, Feb. 28.

Josh Kyle Abina, one of the project heads, opened the event with his opening remarks.

Afterwards, different committee reports were given by respective officers, headed by AssoPsycHSS President Kheila Servano, Associate Treasurer Daniella Guarin, External Vice President Cristine Pasion, and Internal Vice President Eilyazen Carillo, respectively.

Looking ahead to the final stretch of the academic year, External Public Information Officer Isaac Norman Solis and Third Year Representative Alliyah Cajegas unveiled “IL CONVIVO: The Annual Gala,” which will serve as the culminating event for the School of Counseling and Psychology (SCP).

Rising Phoenix Cheering Committee Head Faye Mamites also refreshed the crowd on their team’s cheers ahead of this year’s intramurals, with Astra 2026 pre-games set to commence tomorrow, March 1.

Towards the end, an audio-visual presentation was presented in tribute to the graduating class, which included congratulatory messages from their peers and junior psychmates.

“May we walk forward with confidence not because everything is certain, but because we found the courage to continue even when they’re not,” said Abina in a message to his co-seniors.

Throughout the event, students from each year level indulged in different icebreaker activities, raffle draws, and a best-dressed competition.

To formally close the program, Project Head Sophia Pardillo rendered her closing remarks, tying the event together and expressing gratitude to everyone in attendance.
