Filipino band Ben&Ben promoted its Traveller Across Dimensions concert at the San Pedro College (SPC) Main Campus, the first stop of four schools, Aug. 28.

Members Miguel, Paulo, Agnes, and Pat announced that SPC students and employees will be granted a 20% discount for their concert, scheduled in two days at the Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) gymnasium.

Limited in number, promo tickets will be sold starting 9 a.m. tomorrow at the SALIGAN Supreme Student Council (SSC) office, according to SSC President Rochelle Andrea Aura Yap.

Ben&Ben also indulged the crowd with verses from songs of choice, later signing autographs, and handing out flyers.

In an interview with the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), Assistant Head Rosa Medel Libot shared the band’s inspiring qualities and related them to student life.

“Their example challenges SPC students to pursue their own passions with purpose, grounded in faith, empathy, and love for neighbor[s],” she said.

Libot cited that the musicians are also mission ambassadors for the Catholic charity Alay Kapwa, a cause aligned with SPC’s Dominican values.

To catch the perspective of the students, the publication was able to interview Sigmund Cariño, a Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) intern.

“I’m really delighted to see SPCians really supporting local artists, and of course, to have a mini-concert for free is truly amazing,” the fourth-year student expressed.

Cariño added that despite the limited space, resumption of regular classes, and inability for other SPCians to attend, hearing Ben&Ben live was an honor.

On guests of honor during the intramurals, Student Activity Coordinator Ariel Pescones disclosed with the publication that the possibility of inviting nationally acclaimed performers for school events is yet to be discussed.

“We will do our best to make the experience at SPC memorable and engaging for all students. Rest assured, the office values and considers the preferences of our students,” Pescones concluded.
