San Pedro College (SPC), through the collaborative efforts of its School of Business Management, Education, and Arts and Sciences (SBMEAS) and the Internationalization and Linkages (InterLink) Office, has proudly launched a significant faculty development immersion and research collaboration with Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This impactful joint activity commenced on July 22, 2025, marking a new chapter in international academic partnership.

The “SBMEAS: Innovate, Collaborate, and Empower Program” (SBMEAS ICE Program) spearheaded this vital initiative, designed to foster academic growth and explore cutting-edge research opportunities. The SPC delegation, led by SBMEAS Dean Dr. Genaro F. Alderite, included key academic leaders: Ms. Robelle Anne Maneja (Business Management Program Coordinator), Dr. Vivien Grace Jubahib (Teacher Education Program Coordinator), Mr. Arvie Joy T. Villegas (Social Sciences and Humanities Division Coordinator), Ms. Doreen Mariz Pio (Biology Program Coordinator), and Ms. Romelle P. Hilamon (Global Mobility Program Coordinator, InterLink).

During their immersive visit to UGM, the SPC faculty actively engaged with their counterparts, participating in dynamic discussions and presentations on new trends within their respective fields. Dr. Alderite and Ms. Maneja held productive exchanges with the Faculty of Economics and Business, exploring emerging pedagogical approaches and research methodologies. Concurrently, Dr. Jubahib and Mr. Villegas delved into innovative trends with the Faculty of Cultural Sciences. At the same time, Ms. Pio engaged deeply with the Faculty of Biology, discussing advancements and potential collaborative studies.

This strategic engagement powerfully underscores SBMEAS’ unwavering commitment to global engagement, empowering its faculty with world-class insights and paving the way for impactful research collaborations.
