𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐖𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝟑 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝟏𝟏𝟐 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐬, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲

Showcasing compassion and social responsibility, San Pedro College – College Red Cross Youth (SPC-CRCY) conducted the third wave of its blood donation drive entitled, “Project Droplets: Continuing the Legacy, Sparking a New Journey – Wave 3,” last May 9 at the SPC Gymnasium.

This wave of Project Droplets collected the highest number of blood bags, totaling 112 — surpassing Wave 1 and Wave 2, which gathered 85 and 57, respectively.

In an interview, SPC-CRCY President Randelle Capa shared that Project Droplets is one of the core projects the organization’s flagship initiatives, and their team is committed to carrying on the legacy of their seniors.

“What [our] goal really is to help the lives of everybody by donating blood,” Capa added.

Meanwhile, Honeylen Ladao, a donor from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, left a short but lasting remark when she responded, “To save lives,” after being asked what inspired her to donate blood.

Project Droplets is anchored on the Pledge 25 program by the Red Cross Youth of the Philippine Red Cross Davao City Chapter which seeks to inspire young adults aged 18 to 25 to donate blood three to four times a year.
