We are pleased to announce the successful culmination of the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) course entitled “𝑮𝒍𝒐𝒃𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝑮𝒍𝒐𝒃𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒔: 𝑨𝒏 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆 & 𝑨𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑪𝑶𝑰𝑳 𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕.” A collaboration between San Pedro College, Philippines, and Central Michigan University, U.S.A.

Throughout the course, the students were able to investigate how the foreign trade of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs) affects the lives and lifestyles of local customers, focusing on economic, social, and cultural implications. The participants were able to interview local customers who have experience with FMCGs available in the US market and the Philippines. Indeed, the professor and students successfully achieved the aim of their COIL project by gaining insights into how these goods influence their purchasing decisions, daily habits, and overall lifestyle.

As we move forward, we aim to build upon this foundation of collaboration and continue exploring avenues for international cooperation and academic exchange. Our heartfelt thanks to all the participants, faculty, and staff who made this initiative a success!
