Convening its first general assembly, the Coalition of United Biology, Business, and Education Students (CUBBES) held โ€œKASILAK: The Radiant Coalition,โ€ bringing together students from the Biology, Business, and Education programs on Sept. 11 at San Pedro College (SPC) Philomene Labrecque (PL) Hall.

Alongside its partner organizations โ€” the Association of Marketing Students (AMS), Biology Majors Society (BIOMS), League of Education Students (LES), Junior Finance Executives (JFINEX), and Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP) โ€” and its external organization, Junior Confederation of Finance Associationsโ€“Philippines (JCFAP), the assembly introduced the respective activities and initiatives of the participating organizations for the academic year.

โ€œA coalition you feel everyday,โ€ said CUBBES president, Swen Jay Malazarte, during his Presidentโ€™s report on holistic development, which was followed by the oath-taking ceremony of the officers in front of 200 members.

The AMS kickstarted the series of informative relay, as they lay out their goals in academic, professional, and leadership development while venturing on membersโ€™ practical experiences, networking and community engagement.

BIOMS welcomed their new members while simultaneously walking them through forthcoming projects and collaborations: Tuon Para sa Kaugmaon, CEES projects, Career Talks, and Biosafety Training.

Moreover, LES highlighted the importance of educators and described its role as a supportive community for future teachers, aiming to support its members through workshops, seminars, and training programs.

JFINEX, together with its external organization, JCFAP, emphasized their purpose of bringing financial management students together while remaining committed to supporting the academic, social, and professional development of financial management students.

Lastly, the JPMAP ended the roster with a presentation of their purpose to transform students, achieve goals, and provide students the opportunities to learn, connect and gain experiences.

“After this assembly I expect everyone under CUBBES to be united under the same banner, especially since we have delivered the goals of our organization. I expect that we will be united as one, weโ€™ll push through the projects in the future,โ€ Malazarte stated.

Aside from the orientations and talks, the assembly also featured short icebreakers, a question-and-answer session, and a โ€œBring Meโ€ game throughout the program.
