Guided by the theme, โ€œDifferent Disciplines, One Mission: A shared Pledge toward Excellence,โ€ School of Business Management, Education, and Arts and Sciences of San Pedro College (SPC-SBMEAS) held its 4th Pin-Pledge Ceremony on Feb. 2 at the Philomene Labrecque (PL) Hall.

Seventy-eight students from the Business Administration, Biology, English, and Teacher Education programs were formally recognized as they began their internship and practicum.

To formally open the program, the Holy Mass was presided by Rev. Fr. John Villarte, highlighting responsibility, service and values as students prepare to enter professional settings.

Following the Mass, Genario Aldrite Jr., dean of the School of Business Management, Education, and Arts and Sciences (SBMEAS), delivered the opening message, emphasizing the value of the studentsโ€™ upcoming professional experiences.

โ€œToday marks a significant moment as this ceremony recognizes your perseverance and opens a new chapter โ€” one that will challenge you to apply what you have learned, step beyond your comfort zones, and discover your potential as future professionals,โ€ Aldrite said.

Pinning of the students followed, formally welcoming them as internship and practicum candidates.

Afterwards, Carmelo Banlasan Jr., principal of the Senior High School Department, delivered an inspirational message, reminding students that the ceremony marked the beginning of new responsibilities rather than an endpoint.

โ€œThis pinning ceremony isn’t the end of your journey. This is a new milestone that carries responsibilities โ€” to make your mama, papa, your guardian, your institution, and most importantly, yourself proud,โ€ Banlasan said.

Messages from selected interns across different programs followed, offering encouragement to the newly pinned students.

Reean Porras, a business management intern, then led the studentsโ€™ pledge for practicum.

The ceremony concluded with the closing remarks from Vivien Grace Jubahib, practicum coordinator and education program coordinator of the Teacher Education Department.

โ€œWe gather not only to close the program but also to honor a moment of profound significance. Today marks a milestone that will remain etched in the hearts of everyone present โ€” a moment when commitment is affirmed, responsibility is embraced, and a higher calling is recognized,โ€ Jubahib said.

She also reminded students that the pin they now wear represents trust, perseverance, and the values they are expected to uphold as they begin their professional journey.
