Bearing the name HANSEI 2025, School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) served its annual SAHS Days on San Pedro College (SPC) main grounds, Feb. 3.

Dean Fatima May Tesoro declared the festivities open, together with congratulating all four SAHS departments for achieving top performing distinctions in their board examinations.

“There is a lot in store for everyone come 2026-2027, and we would like to begin with fun times, that’s why we have our SAHS days,” Tesoro said.

The parade, torch-lighting, oath of sportsmanship, and introduction of faculty and staff continued the opening ceremony, capped off with a praise and worship in the evening.

Shiratorizawa Bears, Fukurodani Wolves, Nekoma Panthers, and Johsai Lions constituted the Haikyu!!-inspired teams which mixed the four allied health programs.

One pack led the rest with 360 points in the first day standing, while two tied at 320 points and the lowest of the chain at 300.

Scores were accumulated across various special, literary, and sports events.

In flag raising, Johsai’s swayed the highest, followed by Nekoma, Shiratorizawa, and Fukurodani.

Johsai’s liga muse also captured attention along with the Best in Pasarela and Best in Production Number.

Fukurodani’s bet took Best in Sports Attire and overall second place over Nekoma.

Nekoma reigned the vocal competitions with a rendition of Lay Me Down by Sam Smith in vocal solo and Dati by Sam Concepcion, Tippy Dos Santos, and Quest in vocal duet.

The respective places in vocal solo were won by Johsai, Shiratorizawa, and Fukurodani, while in vocal duet, Fukurodani earned second and Shiratorizawa landed third.

Battle of the Bands was an open category championed by Hats.G, with the runners-up Hangak, Project Uno, and Range of Motions.

The literary category saw Shiratorizawa as victors in Word Factory before Fukurodani, Johsai and Nekoma, placed respectively.

Meanwhile, in Scrabble, Johsai demonstrated mastery over Fukurodani, Nekoma, and Shiratorizawa.

The sports brackets also sprung alive to determine the second day’s gold and bronze match ups.

Shiratorizawa narrowly beat Fukurodani in the first basketball game, 47-43, while Nekoma defeated Johsai, 48-37, in the next round.

Volleyball proved to be one-sided as Johsai and Nekoma spike 2:0 against Fukurodani and Shiratorizawa, respectively.

In e-sports, Shiratorizawa towered over the teams in Subway Surfers and Block Blast.

Johsai came second in line for Subway Surfers, followed by Fukurodani and Nekoma; Fukurodani, Nekoma, and Johsai trailed in Block Blast.

Additionally, Nekoma called the shots in Call of Duty Mobile (CODM) while Johsai dominated the map in Mobile Legends (ML) in the pre-games last Oct. 6.

Originally commenced last Oct. 10, HANSEI 2025 was interrupted by a magnitude 7.4 earthquake that prompted the shift to online modality in SPC.

“This time around, no amount of quaking of the earth will stop the SAHS from celebrating our SAHS days,” Tesoro expressed.
