𝐃𝐘𝐆 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐏𝐀𝐆𝐇𝐀𝐘𝐎 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲

At the start of the year, the SPC Dominican Network Youth Group (DYG) held its first general assembly on Jan. 11, carrying the theme “PAGHAYO: Carried by the Wind of Faith, United in Mission, Soaring to New Horizons.”

Welcoming members and participants, group coordinator Althea Shine Lucas delivered her opening remarks, emphasizing the purpose of the assembly to strengthen camaraderie and uphold the group’s continuing Dominican values.

To foster interaction among members, a bingo game was conducted to help participants get to know one another.

Providing background on the organization, guest speaker Fernor Anthony Adante shared the history and foundation of DYG to deepen members’ understanding of its mission and goals.

As the program continued, the group introduced its rebranding initiative, adopting a more youthful approach that represents the organization as a whole.

To strengthen team-building, an Amazing Race activity was organized, allowing participants to move around the campus and engage in various stations.

Included in the assembly was the introduction of core members and officers, along with their roles and planned activities for the year.

As part of the welcoming rites, a candle-lighting ceremony symbolized commitment, unity, and shared purpose among members as Dominicans.

Before the program concluded, DYG led a praise and worship segment to reaffirm its identity as a faith-based youth organization.
