East Meets West: Comparing Care in Perioperative Practice through a COIL Project

The School of Nursing proudly celebrates the culmination of the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) project, bringing together students and educators from San Pedro College, Philippines and Front Range Community College, USA.

This meaningful exchange highlights the integration of global perspectives in perioperative nursing, as participants reflect on shared experiences, best practices, and cultural insights in patient care. Through collaboration beyond borders, this initiative strengthens academic partnerships and prepares future nurses for globally competent practice.

The project is facilitated by Jo Ann B. Dela Cerna and Monica G. Aguirre from San Pedro College, in collaboration with faculty from Front Range Community College, USA.

Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, this COIL project embodies the spirit of global learning and cooperation in healthcare education.
