𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓; 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬

To foster creativity and strengthen entrepreneurial skills, San Pedro College (SPC) staged the 6th Global Entrepreneurship Day on Nov. 21, with the theme “C.O.N.N.E.C.T: Collaboration of New Networks, Enterprising Co-Ops Today.”

Held at the SPC Philomene Labrecque (PL) Hall, the event brought together students from various college programs and senior high school tracks, along with invited judges, to highlight innovative business concepts and cooperative-driven solutions.

Opening the morning session, international guest speaker Mochamad Abdul Basir discussed academic perspectives on cooperative education and successful international models of youth engagement.

This was followed by local speaker Daniel Clarabal, who tackled how grassroots cooperatives continue to navigate economic challenges such as inflation, digitalization, and sustainability.

Representing the national level, Quenie Roselle Candungog presented current cooperative programs and policies aimed at increasing youth participation.

Later in the program, an open forum was conducted, providing students an opportunity to raise questions and engage with the issues presented.

In the afternoon, the event shifted to the Business Pitch Competition, featuring Senior High School and College categories.

Competing teams presented their pre-recorded three-minute pitch videos, which outlined their proposed products or services, followed by a brief question-and-answer segment with the judges.

After deliberation, the panel — composed of Kun Michelle Yang, Elizabeth Frank, Gloria Aznar, Fdez Montezinos, Jonathan Libo-on, and Ilwyn Gascal — selected the top three entries from both categories, recognizing the most innovative and feasible student-led business concepts.
