In celebration of its 69th founding anniversary, San Pedro College (SPC) brought the community together for Pista sa Nayon 2025 with the theme “Pagdiriwang sa Munting Liwanag at Saya,” held on Sept. 29 in commemoration of St. Thérèse of Lisieux.

Festivities opened with a Mass dedicated to St. Thérèse, followed by the blessing and oath-taking of student club officers.

Setting the tone for the program, SPC Kultura performed an opening number, leading into welcome remarks from Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Student Activity Coordinator Ariel Pescones who reminded the community to stand united in honoring the legacy of St. Thérèse.

Sharing words of inspiration, alumnus Jimmy Jesuro highlighted the theme “Munting Liwanag at Saya” as a reminder to value small beginnings that can lead to meaningful outcomes and foster a growth-oriented mindset.

Morning activities featured Larong Pinoy, including tug-of-war and kadang-kadang, which drew spirited participation from students.

Carrying the energy into noon, an open karaoke session united SPCians and kept the festive atmosphere alive.

As the afternoon unfolded, a scavenger hunt sent participants racing around the campus while the quiz bee took place simultaneously in Room ABM 1.

Music then filled the grounds as the guest band, The Griffins, energized the crowd with a set of songs that highlighted the celebration.

An awarding ceremony followed, recognizing winners, participants, and guests, before Kyle Caballes, one of the project heads delivered closing remarks to express gratitude to those who made the event possible.

The celebration concluded with the Dominican Network (Domnet) Youth Group leading a praise and worship session, grounding the festivities in faith and unity.
