Highlighting the essence of teamwork and collaboration, the San Pedro College Peer Facilitators’ Group (SPC-PFG) held their event, “Banaag Kasanayan: A Formation-building and Committee-bound Workshop,” on Sept. 21 at the Clovis Thibault (CT) Building, Room 201.

Formally opening the event, the organization’s general treasure, Rossini Viel Tayo, welcomed the new committee members and emphasized the program as a venue to strengthen bonds.

Guest speaker Andrei Raymund Amorado followed with a talk on how to properly form teams and foster effective interaction among its members.

“Conflicts can never be avoided. There will always be disagreements,” Amorado said, adding that such challenges are necessary because they can make or break a team.

Following his talk, Donieza Bolaño, also an invited facilitator, led the interactive team-building activities that challenged participants while incorporating reflective learning.

In the afternoon, participants broke into their respective rooms for committee workshops to clearly define their roles and enhance their skills, then reconvened to share their progress after the activity.

PFG President Kirby Patrick Alagdon delivered the closing remarks, stressing the importance of each member’s role.

“Without you, dili mi mag function; dili namo ma-achieve ang among gusto ma-achieve for this school year. Kung mawala man gud ang isa ka piece sa inyong committee, maglisod man gyud ug function ang committee palang. So kung mag lisod ang committee, unsa nalang ang organization as a whole,” Alagdon said.

He also invited members to participate in the organization’s project in October, inviting them to continue contributing to the PFG’s initiative.
