San Pedro College’s (SPC) International Students Organization (ISO) opened the academic year with its first general assembly, “UGNAY: Uniting Generations, Nations, and the Youth,” on Sept. 14 at the main campus.

Internal Vice President Regina Lobino led the orientation on the organization’s framework through a presentation of the Constitution and By-Laws (CBL).

Meanwhile, President Rania Omar also outlined the calendar of activities for Academic Year 2025-2026, which features the UN Celebration, Chinese Lunar New Year, Interlink Week, and Women’s Month.

Members participated in games such as Human Bingo, 1, 2, 3… Go! and Isosceles Trivia, which promoted interaction and camaraderie.

Departments and committees were then introduced by External Vice President Andrea Valle, who highlighted their functions in sustainability, inclusivity, community engagement, advocacy, and media.

Finally, Moderator Romelle Hilamon closed the event with a message on ISO’s broader vision.

“As we end this day, may the lessons, friendships, and commitment formed here continue to guide us forward. Hopefully, this is not the end but the start of stronger bonds and greater initiatives of not just becoming good leaders but also global citizens,” Hilamon said.

Hilamon also hinted at ISO’s upcoming collaboration in November with visiting Thai students, an initiative expected to expand cultural exchange and learning opportunities.
