SPC Kultura Dance, Theater, and Music Ensemble held โ€œLIKHA INDAK: Isang Gabing Pagtatanghal ng Sining at Kulturaโ€ on Sunday, May 11, at the SPC Gymnasium, in a live showcase of Filipino artistic and cultural heritage.

Officers, members, moderators, and coordinators gathered for the in-person event, in line with the organizationโ€™s mission to promote cultural awareness through various performances.

The program opened with welcoming remarks before launching the first performance block featuring the indigenous โ€œMaguiโ€ and folk โ€œBinuyoganโ€ dances.

Performers followed with instrumental interludes and a narrative segment centered on cultural identity.

Additionally, contemporary dance routines, the โ€œSala Ti Maisโ€ folk dance, and a Lumad indigenous performance made up the mid-program set.

Latin and standard ballroom performances added variety and led into the afternoon draw and second wave of routines.

Modern Filipino dance, additional folk pieces, and ballroom reprises rounded out the performance lineup.

Organizers concluded the program with awarding, closing remarks, community dancing, photo wall documentation, and venue restoration.

James Andre Mendoza, SPC Kultura graduating officer and organizer, shared that preparations began immediately after their Davao Association of Catholic Schools (DACS) competition, describing the event as a legacy project the team had long planned to revive.

โ€œWe really aimed to meet SPC Kulturaโ€™s artistic and cultural standards,โ€ Mendoza said, crediting fellow officers and team heads for their leadership and choreography.

Dynna Mari Alpas, SPC Kultura officer, added that the event aimed to inspire both the performers and audiences to express their identity and embrace their role in preserving culture through the arts.

Mendoza added that SPC Kultura performers serve not only as dancers but also as cultural contributors who sustain artistic vibrancy within the SPC community.

Likha Indak closed the academic year with a reaffirmation of SPC Kulturaโ€™s role in advancing Filipino culture through organized, collaborative performance.
