𝐃𝐘𝐆, 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐂𝐞, 𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐭. 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜’𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 ‘𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓’

In celebration of the feast of St. Dominic de Guzman, the San Pedro College (SPC) Dominican Network Youth Group (DYG) in collaboration with the Spirituality and Formation Center (SpiCe) and the Laudare Et Servire Society (LESS) conducted an event entitled “The Feast: Pulse of the Community of Santo Domingo” held at the SPC Gymnasium, Aug. 8.

Opening with a eucharistic mass, the celebration continued with a program, formally opened by the Student Activity Coordinator Ariel Pescones, who highlighted St. Dominic’s belief that the youth would carry on his legacy.

“This right here is a kind of moment that St. Dominic de Guzman would have deeply believed in that young people gathered together not just to remember, but to live out what he started,” Pescones stated.

Judges critiqued the presented tote bag designs by senior high school students, inspired by the four pillars of St. Dominic.

The festivities continued with a Virtual Selfie Race and the Veritas Quest, where students tested their knowledge in a quiz bowl competition.

Audience members were shown the top three advocacy videos that stood out for their impact, all tied to the theme “Digital Advocacy for Our Time: Echoes of Faith, Futures of Hope.”

Recognition and awards were then given to winners from each competition and activity.

DYG Moderator Aljessa Sebastian concluded the celebration with a call for humility, prayer, and selfless service.
