[GLOBAL VIRTUAL CLASSROOM COIL PROGRAM 2024]
School of Business Management, Education, Arts & Sciences

We are thrilled to present the COIL course, “Global Citizenship: Creating a Sustainable Coworking Innovation Center (CWIC) Building a Green Circular Economy”!

The Sustainable Coworking Innovation Center (CWIC) combines eco-friendly practices with the creativity of coworking spaces, aiming to foster a collaborative environment focused on sustainability and innovation. It emphasizes using clean energy, recycling, and a community that encourages new ideas. Similarly, the Green Circular Economy model seeks to reduce waste and increase resource efficiency across how goods and services are produced, consumed, and disposed of. Both concepts focus on minimizing environmental impact by promoting sustainable resource use, waste reduction, and recycling initiatives.

This program is in collaboration with the University of Hawaii, Hilo, as we target Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4 Quality Education, (SDG) 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth,(SDG) 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, and (SDG) 17 Partnerships for the Goals.

Mr. Elmer Calumpang and Dr. June L. Prieto represented SPC.
