It is with great delight to announce the meaningful culmination of the Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) course entitled, “𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐝𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬” A collaboration between San Pedro College, Philippines, and PUC Campinas, Brazil.

This COIL Program involves 66 students from San Pedro College and 42 students from PUC Campinas. Throughout the course, students recognized the importance of cultural competence and how it improves patient care and team dynamics. They learned how cultural values, beliefs, and practices influence healthcare delivery and how nursing and radiologic technology leaders can incorporate cultural awareness to create inclusive, respectful, and effective working environments. Students and instructors alike highlighted the significant role of teamwork in the project’s success, emphasizing the positive impact of collaborating with their international peers.
