PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

 This is a 5-year degree program to train graduates to be part of the Rehabilitation Team. Physical Therapy is a profession concrned with the restoration of function and the prevention of disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part. The goal of this discipline is to help the patient reach his maximum potential and to assume his due place in society while learning to live within the limits of his capabilities. The therapeutic effects of various exercises and physical agents based on biomechanical and physiological principles are used to achieve this goal.


  It is also a profession which develops, coordinates and utilizes selected knowledge and skills in planning, organizing, directing programs for the care of individuals whose ability to function is impaired.


  The Physical Therapy program of San Pedro College had it's first batch of graduates in 1996. Since then, the department continued to share its triumph by producing highly competent professional physical therapist who are succesfully working domestically and abroad.


 The faculty has a strong commitment to developing students equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes by providing best practices in the learning environment.


 San Pedro College can very well boast of a decade long quality physical therapy education as well as quality graduates who not only imbued strong ethical and moral values, but who made a world of difference in health care.
